(again, tweet-format. suggestions for exploration, not maxims. and not nearly complete treatment of the subject.)
[become fluent in navigating edges and boundaries response-ably]
[as you approach an edge, your senses should sharpen]
[time should dilate and you should be at the ready to receive signal]
[edges & boundaries are in constant flux. dialog is critical.]
[uncountable layers and articulations of contact]
[always ready to renegotiate. use your finest instruments to parse signal. and acknowledge immediately.]
[observe the edges between your conscious mind and your library of memories]
[observe subtle proprioceptive shifts as you browse the card catalog in different subjects]
[experience the push/pull with pleasant/painful memories. practice remaining still, silent, sensitive.]
[observe edges in conversation with friends. where does the subject automatically/unconsciously change?]
[reminder: there is no such thing as distraction.]
[with very close friend/lover: gaze silently, 100% eye-contact. observe internal articulation of layers/edges/boundaries. intense.]
[observe your own edges, alone in a dark room.]
[apocalypse fantasies point to the end/edge of the world. cultivate multiple personal eschatons.]
[so much depends on the ability to make actual contact, and the only way to develop this is through studies in edges & boundaries.]

#FeedPoetry is where I curate twitter timelines and arrange tweets into poems.
[try: view crushes as signals to get to know the other person better, and leave the sex & romance impulses alone (or process elsewhere)]
[restraint heightens intensity/excitement, which can then be channeled toward other pursuits]
[also: if you have a “type” (or “types”), avoid intimate relations with those that fall under that category]
[one’s “type(s)” are usually indicators of internal figures/themes best approached with restraint (see below) & treated as signal]
[in actual relationship, types tend to interfere]
[though a relationship where that’s all on the table up front, acknowledged & agreed as adventure for both (all) parties…’nother story]
[hush & behold]
[rethinking our relationships can help build better contact]
[explore borders boundaries & edges]
[in dialogue, witness the third body/third mind]
[notice your ability to experience more than one feeling at a time]
[notice how emotional content is stored in your memories. this is part of your library.]
[notice where—in your body—a feeling starts. where it goes next, and next, and how it loops back around. feelings are circuits.]
[feelings spin like disks. bigger & faster = more intense.]
[there’s a lot that can be done with this info, but too complex for tweets. doesn’t chunk down well]
[develop your sense of proprioception. more yield than one can believe.]
[you can process more information using your whole body than by just thinking]
[and make changes in one moment, with one movement, that would take years of whittling away with mentation]
[practice using your senses]
[there’s a “coping skills” game i use with my clients, which i found in a forum online. we call it countdown, but it’s also the 54321 game]
[name 5 things you can see right now. 4 things you can feel with your body. 3 things you hear. 2 things you smell. 1 good thing about you]
[this can help with a lot of things. give a solid foundation to stand for a moment. & it’s cumulative.]
[“countdown” can assist coming down from intense emotional experiences. provide a space to take a breath in the midst of stress.]
[sometimes provides just enough space to actually choose, rather than simply react]
